A new milestone for Gioacchino Sini We are in the vineyard at Su Cabrileddu and, from this privileged point of view, we are looking at the work that Gioacchino Sini, owner of Unmaredivino, is doing to expand his cellar. Paraphrasing the title of a famous novel, we could say: “Little Winery Grows” and it grows with pride and enthusiasm. In a way even that of Gioacchino is a novel, made of perseverance and relentless dreams. All materials used for this new building, adjacent to the old cellar, are carefully selected. Look at these bricks, these are not normal bricks !

Unmaredivino: “Passito Smeraldo, from the fields to the bottle”

Today we are going to tell you the story of an important stage in the production of our Passito Smeraldo: harvesting Moscato Grapes. In the background the sea and in the distance the Asinara island. Here they come and guess what!? Only women harvest in this area! It is a tradition of this specific Sorso-Sennori area where, for harvesting, women are considered more accurate in picking only the right grapes. Men’s task is to take the baskets,

This is my father, Pietrino Sini, who saw many harvests in the historic family vineyard of Su Cabrileddu, planted in 1949, and now he enjoys the first harvest in the new vineyard of Muros! My grandfather, who was also named Gioacchino, bought this land after he went to seek his fortune in America! My father went to work in Milan to save money needed to plant our new vineyard. I, Gioacchino Sini, had the honor of creating Unmaredivino Winery and made a dream come through: to see our wine served in the best restaurants and most qualified stores in Italy
